Who sets the standards? +
The standards of REPS Tunisia are based on the Global Standards for fitness produced by the International Confederation of Registers for Exercise Professionals (ICREPs) – so we can demonstrate that Tunisian meets best global practice.
Who approves the qualifications? +
Courses to give entry to REPS are approved through an independent third party appointed by REPS Tunisia. Which applies a quality assurance system to training provider with no influence or involvement of REPS Tunisia.
How do I become a qualified fitness professional? +
In order to become a fitness professional and register with REPS Tunisia you must hold a recognized qualification from an approved training provider.
What is ICREPs? +
ICREPs is the International Confederation for Registers of Exercise Professionals, it is the global body for REPS registers around the world. There is now a REPS register and member of ICREPs in UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, UAE, Ireland, Canada, Poland and United States. ICREPs applies a strict criteria to new members, REPS Tunisia is a ICREPs applicant and looks forward to being confirmed as a full member.
What is CPD? +
It is important for exercise professionals to keep their skills and knowledge up to date. Continuing Professional Development – CPD – is about exercise professionals doing extra courses, attending workshops or conferences or taking part in other activities, which increase their skills base. REPS members are expected to do approximately 20 hours of CPD activities over a two-year period and to log their CPD “points” where in most cases one point is equal to one hour of learning.
Can I get a course approved for CPD points? +
Yes, we have a process to evaluate courses and give CPD points, contact the office for details.
How much does it cost? +
It costs 180 dinars per year to be a member of REPS Tunisia
How are my registration fees spent and is REPS Tunisia “for profit” +
REPS Tunisia is a not-for-profit organization. Being not-for-profit is a requirement of ICREPs membership. Membership fees are put back info to the running of the register.
